Major Big Ten offer for Hinnant

J.D. Hinnant keeps landing offers and even he cannot believe how fast his recruitment has picked up.
"It's crazy," Hinnant said.

"I think people are seeing the offers and they're taking a look at my film and they must like what they see."
The 6-foot-5, 260-pound offensive tackle from Fountain Valley, Calif., was offered by Nebraska on Monday and the Huskers join Arizona State, Cal, Duke, Oregon, Oregon State, San Diego State, Washington and Washington State on his offer list.
Hinnant said he's thrilled to get the Nebraska offer and it will definitely be taken seriously even if it came as a total shock.
"It was a huge surprise," Hinnant said. "All I got was a couple e-mails from them and coach (John) Garrison came and I didn't know he was coming. He watched practice and then I called him afterward.
"I'm going to do my research but they're known for power football and an outstanding offensive line so I'm looking forward to getting over to Nebraska and checking the place out."
Because Hinnant's recruitment is just taking off, the Fountain Valley lineman said he's going to remain patient and see what other offers arrive.
Utah, Stanford and Boston College are showing interest in him and many others could as well once coaches see his junior season highlight film or come out and watch spring practice.
"I'm just sitting back right now and trying to take it all in," Hinnant said.
