Major Big Ten interest for Dixon

Bryce Dixon is still overjoyed about his Miami offer and he's taking a visit there in October and now another major program is getting more involved in his recruitment.
Ohio State has not offered yet but the 2014 tight end from Ventura (Calif.) St. Bonaventure said he's been talking with the Buckeyes' staff and is encouraged by what he's hearing.

"Coach (Mark) Pantoni hit me up and he said they like some of the things I do and he told coach (Tim) Hinton to get the offer ready so I'm just waiting to hear from them," Dixon said.
"I'm a hard-worker but it makes me want it even more."
Miami was a big first offer for Dixon, who plans to head across the country in mid-October with Ventura St. Bonaventure's 2015 quarterback Ricky Town to see what the Hurricanes can offer them.
Dixon, who has also been hearing from Arizona and a few new programs, said he's thoroughly excited about that visit but does not plan to make any commitment because it's still so early in his recruitment.
The two St. Bonaventure players will be at Miami for the North Carolina matchup.
"It's going to be great because I'll get to meet the coaches, I'll get to see the facilities and how the school works and pretty much everything down there," Dixon said.
"I still want to wait and see my options. They're a good school and they use the tight end a lot which I like, too."
St. Bonaventure is coming off its first loss this season, a 35-27 decision to Santa Margarita (Calif.) Catholic last weekend. Another tough test awaits the team at Westlake Village (Calif.) Westlake on Friday night.
"It was a good challenge last week playing against such a good team and see how we really look," Dixon said. "We didn't give up, they didn't give up but we just had a few miscues and they got us in the end."
