Mailbox full for Ohio QB
Schools across the East and Midwest are interested in big 6-foot-5, 210-pound quarterback Mike Ryan. Does the Leavittsburg (Ohio) LaBrae prospect have any early favorites?
"I don't really have any leaders yet," he said. "I'm getting a lot of mail though from Akron, Toledo, Purdue, Iowa, Boston College, West Virginia, Miami (Ohio), Columbia and others.

"I'm really looking for a college that will provide me with good athletics and academics. I'm interested in somewhere that has good football and basketball because I play both sports and I'd be interested in at least trying to play both college, but overall I prefer to play football first."
In football last season, Ryan threw for 1,000 yards and 13 touchdowns in just six games.
"I think I'm a leader on the field," he said. "I'm always ready to go and get the job done. I also feel I have a pretty strong arm."
This summer the quarterback prospect is considering attending camps at Iowa, Purdue, West Virginia and Toledo.
Last season in basketball Ryan averaged 11 points and nine rebounds per game. He was named honorable mention all-district.
