Sawtelle's grandfather Darris McCord was a defensive end and offensive tackle for the Tennessee Volunteers. He also played in the NFL for the Detroit Lions for 13 years.
Though Sawtelle was not a full-time starter his sophomore year, he is already on the radar screens of many recruiters.
"I got a questionaire from Boston College," Sawtelle said. "And Ohio State, Michigan, and Purdue.
"And I was invited to a spring practice at Michigan. I was invited to a junior day there too. I went to a Michigan practice.
"I'm interested in anywhere I can play football.
"I will say I love Tennessee."
