Mahone recaps recent visits

West Chester (Ohio) Lakota West cornerback Sean Mahone was close to a decision before his senior season, but has decided to make more visits before committing. The three-star prospect have visited two of his top four already this season, most recently attending West Virginia's win over Maryland last weekend,

"When I got there there were a lot of fans who were tailgating so that was pretty nice," Mahone said. "I got to talk to my recruiter, Coach (Brian) Mitchell, and Coach (Bruce) Tall. I didn't get to say too much because they were getting ready for the football game.
"The atmosphere was pretty nice. Some of the fans there are big on football and knew all the people getting recruited. From what I saw, I liked everything about it. Maryland is a good team and they blew them out pretty bad."
West Virginia is one of four teams standing out as favorites for Mahone. Purdue, Virginia and Kentucky round out his top group, and he saw the Wildcats play an SEC game earlier this season.
"It was awesome. They played Florida and it was a big game," Mahone said. "I talked with Mikel (Horton) when he was warming up. I talked to my recruiter, Derrick Ansley. Pretty much they just told me they know it is a big decision, they don't want me to rush my decision and they just want me to take my time and pick the right school. They told me, 'whenever you feel right, make that decision.'"
Mahone does not have any more visits currently scheduled, but expects to start setting official visits soon. His decision has been put on hold for the time being.
"I am just going to wait because I don't know if other schools might offer," Mahone said. "We've been talking with Wisconsin, Michigan and Northwestern. They just want to see my film and are still evaluation me."
The 6-foot, 190-pound Mahone has two interceptions from his cornerback spot this season. He returned both for touchdowns, but one was called back on a penalty. Lakota West is off to a 3-2 record start to their 2015 season.
