Maguire is a Seminole

Quarterback Sean Maguire of West Orange (N.J.) Seton Hall Prep had been scheduling summer visits to check out a few new schools that had entered his recruiting process recently. However, this afternoon he decided that these visits were not necessary as he concluded that he wanted to officially become a Florida State Seminole.
"I committed this afternoon," said Maguire. "I talked to Coach Coley, Coach Craig and Coach Fischer. They were really excited. They were welcoming me to the Florida State family. It was great."

Maguire explained why made his decision today.
"I just had that feeling about Florida State since I stepped foot on campus during the spring," said Maguire. "It had that feeling of home and it was an opportunity I couldn't pass on."
Overall, there were a number of factors that helped in his decision.
"The coaches are great, they're all great," said Maguire. "The tradition, the school, the campus, everything is just perfect."
While his other offer at this time was from Buffalo, recently Maguire had been receiving increased serious interest from several other top programs, like Alabama.
"I had a lot of trips planned," said Maguire. "I was going to visit Alabama, N.C. State and Maryland, but not anymore. I want to thank those schools for everything, but Florida State is my school now."
Maguire also discussed the feeling of not having to worry about his recruiting process anymore.
"It feels great," he said. "Now I can concentrate on my senior season and make it the best season possible for my team and my friends. "
The Jersey quarterback has already scheduled his next visit to Florida State.
"I'm going the weekend of the 20th," said Maguire. "I'm visiting for one day and then will probably throw during one of the camp dates."
