Magnolia WR has three offers

Not a lot has been said about Jackson (Miss.) Provine wide receiver/defensive back Anthony Johnson over the past two months, however, he is one of the fastest rising players in the Magnolia State.
“I got my first offers a while back,” Johnson said. “Ole Miss, Mississippi State and Nebraska all have offered me. I think that LSU is thinking about offering me. They said that they want to see me in camp and maybe see some of my senior film, but they have let me know that they are interested.”

Johnson attended the NIKE camp in Baton Rouge in early May. He registered in at 5-foot-10 and weighed 188 pounds. He ran a solid 4.6 second 40-yard dash, had a 4.25 second shuttle, posted a 31.5-inch vertical jump and did 15 reps on the bench press.
“Right now my favorites are LSU, Mississippi State, Ole Miss, Southern Miss and Alabama,” Johnson said. “I don’t really have any favorites right now. I think that I want to take all of my visits and make a decision sometime after the season.”
As a junior he had 24 catches for 639 yards and 11 touchdowns, but also added seven interceptions as a 4A all-state performer.
“I’m looking for a school with a good and stable coaching staff,” Johnson said. “I would like to go somewhere that I can get some early playing time. I want a school with a good weight program and training program. I’m also looking for a school that will help you with your academics and that will be able to provide an academic adviser for you if you need it.”
