Magnolia star exploring options

Hattiesburg (Miss.) Oak Grove linebacker/safety Hendrick Leverette is one of the top players in the Magnolia State, has picked up four offers and one ACC power has been showing lots of love as of late.
"I still only have offers from Ole Miss, Auburn, West Virginia and Southern Miss right now," Leverette said. "Florida State has really been recruiting me very hard lately. They called me in May and told me that they were going to be recruiting me as a rover type safety."

The 6-foot-1, 205-pound Leverette runs the 40-yard dash in 4.6 seconds and has a 38-inch vertical jump.
"Right now I don't have a leader, but I do have a top five," Leverette said. "My top five right now is Ole Miss, West Virginia, Florida State, Southern Miss and Auburn. I plan to take all of my visits and check everything out before I make a decision."
Leverette accumulated 121 solo tackles and 82 assists as a junior, with four sacks, two interceptions and six pass breakups.
"I would like to stay kind of close to home if possible so that my family can come and see me play," Leverette said. "I also want to fit in with the coaches and players and want it to feel like a family atmosphere."
There is some question as to whether Leverette will play safety or linebacker on the next level.
"All of them except Florida State like me at linebacker, schools like Auburn have said that they like smaller faster linebacker," Leverette said. "It really doesn't matter to me where I play, I will play wherever I can see the field first."
