Magnolia RB has busy summer

Madison (Miss.) Central running back Reggie Hicks has had a busy summer thus far. He's been to quite a few camps, in the midst of working out and preparing for his senior season. He's already picked up two offers and may be close to a third.
"My offers are still Ole Miss and Louisiana-Lafayette," Hicks said. "I went to Alabama's camp and they liked me a lot. They have been sending handwritten mail and been recruiting me very hard. I think they are going to offer."

The 6-foot-2, 220-pound Hicks ran the 40-yard dash in 4.75 seconds, ran a five second shuttle and posted a 24-inch vertical jump at the Oxford NIKE camp in May.
"Ole Miss and Louisiana-Lafayette are two schools that are definitely on my list," Hicks said. "Georgia Tech, Alabama and LSU are schools that I am also interested in. I like Georgia Tech a lot because I want to be an architect and they have one of the best programs in the country for that."
Hicks has attended camps at LSU, Georgia Tech, Ole Miss, Alabama and Southern Miss in addition to the NIKE camp.
"The Ole Miss camp was my favorite," Hicks said. "I really liked everything about it. I also had a great time at the Alabama camp. I seemed to really hit it off with their coaches. Georgia Tech is a great school and Atlanta is a great city. LSU was a very good camp as well."
Most kids top priority is early playing time and schemes, however, Hicks puts academics as a higher priority.
"The main thing for me is that a school offers my major," Hicks said. "I really want to find a coaching staff that I can gel with. I also want to go to a school that is in a cool town where there is stuff to do."
