Magnolia OL picks up LSU offer

For quite some time now Collins (MS) offensive center Josh McNeil has had a scholarship offer from Mississippi State. Now he has picked up his second scholarship offer and his eyes, it is a big one.
“LSU offered me a scholarship,” McNeil said. “I sent them some film a few weeks back and then last week we called coach Saban to see if they had watched it and they offered me.”

The 6-foot-4, 270 pound McNeil, who runs the 40 yard dash in 5.1 seconds, has a 355 pound bench press and 500 pound squat is expected to be one of the top lineman in the Magnolia State.
“I was really excited about the Mississippi State offer because I have liked them since I was a kid. I was really excited about the LSU offer because they are the national champs. If they think that you can come play for them then you can play anywhere in the country.”
A starter since his freshman season, McNeil has never allowed a sack in his career and tallied an impressive 116 pancake blocks as a junior.
“My top schools in no particular order are LSU, Mississippi State, Georgia, Ole Miss, Florida, Oklahoma State, Auburn and Alabama. I don’t have a favorite or anything right now, I am just trying to keep an open mind.”
McNeil said that he will try to attend the NIKE camp at LSU on May 2nd and was unsure if he would attend any team camps.
“I have already been to one LSU practice where I talked to coach Saban and coach Muschamp and they were great guys. I am going back this Saturday for their spring game as well.”
