Magnolia LB hoping for offers

OLIVE BRANCH, Miss. - There are four prospects at Olive Branch that could play for any program in the SEC. When you're a teammate of those four and you're flying under the radar, it could be a blessing in disguise as college coaches attend games to watch them play it could be your chance to get noticed. Such is the case with linebacker Jeremy Longstreet.
"I'm hoping to turn some heads this year," Longstreet said. "Sometimes I think I am being overlooked because of these other guys, but I figure that if coaches are coming to watch them play then it's a good thing because then they can notice me too."

The 6-foot-1, 190-pound Longstreet is a long, lean linebacker who has a great frame for adding weight. He sums up his game as being a prototypical outside linebacker.
"I like to use my quickness to make plays," Longstreet said. "I'm quicker than all of those offensive lineman, they are just slow. If they can't get to me then they can't block me. I just see the play and get to it as quick as I can. I'm also a big hitter, when I do get there someone is going to feel it."
Right now Longstreet does not have any offers, but he is receiving interest from Mississippi State, Ole Miss, Southern Miss and Memphis.
"I really like Ole Miss and Mississippi State a lot," Longstreet said. "Mississippi State needs linebackers real bad down there. Ole Miss said that they are looking for speed and that's the thing that I have. I'm real open to anybody who wants to recruit me right now to tell you the truth."
