Magnolia LB has four visits set

The race for three-star Hattiesburg (Miss.) Oak Grove linebacker Garry Pack could be one of the better recruiting battles in the Magnolia State this season.
Pack (6-1, 213, 4.5) has scheduled four of his official visits and considers each of them a prime contender to land his signature.

“I’m going to Tennessee on Dec. 12, Florida State on Jan. 9, Southern Miss on Jan. 16 and Ole Miss on Jan. 23,” he said. “I’m not sure whether I’ll take a fifth visit. I’m open, but right now it’s mainly those four.
“I don’t have a favorite. I tell everyone that they have an equal shot.”
Breaking down his leaders, Pack offered the following:
“I love Tennessee’s football atmosphere – the huge stadium and crazy fans – and all their tradition. They’ve got some good coaches, too. I like their aggressive style on defense.
“With Ole Miss, they’re having a great season. They’ve opened a lot of eyes this year. When I went up there for the Arkansas game, I liked everything about it – the fans, the coaches, the campus. Everything was great.
“Southern Miss is the closest to home. That would be nice. And they have a good program. I know I could go in and help them early.
“Florida State is the school I grew up watching. I’ve always loved watching them play. They have great tradition like Tennessee, and they’re always in the picture for the national championship.”
During the season, Pack made unofficial visits to Ole Miss (versus Arkansas), Southern Miss (versus Nebraska) and Alabama (versus Oklahoma). He plans to attend the LSU-Ole Miss game in Oxford on Nov. 22, a game which could determine the SEC West crown.
Pack has helped lead Oak Grove to an 11-0 record heading into the playoffs on Friday. He’s rushed for 1,272 yards and 24 touchdowns on offense while recording 101 tackles, 22 tackles for loss and four forced fumbles on defense.
He’s also solid in the classroom, carrying a 3.73 GPA and a 17 on the ACT.
