It seems year after year Arlington (Texas) Bowie ushers out Division I prospects. The 2008 group looks no different with receiver Roddy Maginot.

Maginot, the 5-foot-10, 165-pounder, says that he's already received word that scholarship offers are on the table from Kansas and Rice. In the meantime, the first-team all-district selection, is fielding even more mail from schools all over the Big 12 and beyond.
"I like them both," Maginot said about the first two offers. "Kansas, I have a lot of family that lives in Topeka, so I really like that. Rice gives you a good education with their business school and you can be really successful out of that. I also like that it's not too far from home."
Oklahoma, Texas A&M, New Mexico, SMU, TCU, Florida, and Texas Tech are the other schools that the North Texas receiver says he's receiving mail and other correspondence from.
Maginot says his next trip will most likely be to an in-state school.
"I'm looking forward to go to Rice," he said. "I'm going to a Rice spring practice soon."
While he's not close to making a decision at this point, he says that he's working hard in the off-season. On the field, Maginot says that he combines athleticism and intelligence.
"I'd have to say I'm smart, quick, and dependable," he said.
