Magee is ready for his first official visit

Oswego (Ill.) three-star ranked defensive tackle prospect Alex Magee (6-foot-5, 270 pounds) was named as an All State player this fall by the Illinois High School Football Coaches Association, and while that honor has Magee excited, Magee is even more thrilled to begin his official visit tour starting this weekend to Purdue.
"I'm really excited about getting named All State," Magee said. "It's a great honor, and I'm glad you told me because I didn't even hear about it yet. I'm also really looking forward to making my first official visit to Purdue this weekend."

So what is Magee looking for from his official visit to Purdue?
"I'm really interested in getting more information in regards to the academics at Purdue. I'm thinking of majoring in Criminal Justice, so I definitely want to learn about the program and the different courses. It's also really important to me to see how I fit in socially at Purdue. I just want to be at a school that feels comfortable to me and I want to also get to know the players and the coaches better. I want to see how I get along with the players and the coaches and I want to spend some quality time with them this weekend."
Magee still has his early favorites, but has another Big Ten school re-entered the race?
"I still like Purdue, Wisconsin and Michigan State, and I'm going to visit all three schools. I'm also looking hard at Iowa again. The coaches at Iowa have been recruiting me pretty hard over the last few months, and I'm taking another look at them. I'm going to try and set an official visit to Iowa in early January. I'm definitely heading back to Iowa for an official visit."
