Madubuike taking his time

McKinney (Texas) McKinney North Rivals250 defensive lineman Justin Madubuike has his pick of college destinations.
Football coaches from coast-to-coast have made their way to the Dallas-area to get a look at the 6-foot-3, 245-pound standout. Scholarships have arrived from near and far with offers on the table from USC, Notre Dame, Oklahoma, Texas, Texas A&M, Michigan, Ohio State, and many more.

Options are not an issue, and Madubuike is carefully considering each opportunity.
"I'm just taking it slow," Madubuike said. "I have the SAT coming up, so I'm not even worried about recruiting that hard."
He is enjoying the the recruiting process, but he also knows it comes with a certain amount of responsibility.
"It's been good. It hasn't been overwhelming but people look up to you," Madubuike said. "Some people might get jealous. You just try to reach out to everyone and stay humble and just give back. It's cool. It's really nice."
Madubuike has not taken many visits, but he has had the chance to check out Texas A&M and TCU. Both schools made favorable impressions on his mind.
"The facilities were amazing," Madubuike said. "I saw Kyler Murray up there and all of these guys that are good athletes and going to A&M."
"TCU, I went there for a game and they gave me front row seats and everything. They were like we really want you here. It was awesome. They played Kansas State. It was a good experience, and I will never forget that. Because they gave us the front row. All the recruits were behind us and me and my friends were in front. I was like they must really want me man because I know these guys are as good as me and they're all the way up there. It was really cool."
While he is not ready to name any leaders, two schools have stoodout in the amount of attention they are showing.
"I'd say Texas and TCU. They're just hitting me up and sending me mail with my name on it and all these posters," Madubuike said. "It's getting kind of crazy but I just have to humble myself and keep working hard so I can get even better in college."
Madubuike knows he will take visits in his future, but right now he does not have anything scheduled.
"Not yet, I'm not really focused on that," Madubuike said. "I'm just focused on getting my stuff done. I want to take things real, real slow. I don't want to rush things. Because when I rush things start getting out of whack."
Madubuike is currently ranked No. 225 in the Rivals250 and No. 12 among the nation's 2016 strongside defensive ends.
