Maddy back on the market

Back in August, 6-foot-2, 278-pound defensive tackle Luther Maddy from Delray Beach (Fla.) Atlantic pledged his services to Marshall. On Saturday, the two parted ways after a three month courtship.
The two-star defensive lineman is looking forward to the opportunity to find another home.

"I am expecting to get more offers now within the next couple of weeks," Maddy said. "That is why I wanted to be open because I feel like I made the decision too soon. I am just going to be wide open so I can make the right choice. That is why I decommitted."
At this time, he has three other options officially on the table with a handful of others keeping in contact.
"I have offers from Hampton, FIU, and FAU," Maddy said. "I am hearing from Tennessee State, Middle Tennessee, Washington, Western Michigan, Central Michigan, and Rutgers."
Maddy has yet to take any official visits. He knows of one likely destination in January and expects to schedule more in the future.
"I should be going to Tennessee State in January," Maddy said. "That is the only one I know of right now."
When it comes time to decide, Maddy knows what he is looking for this time around.
"I want to find a school where I have better communication, a place where I feel like I am needed," Maddy said. "I want to find a place where I fit in. I want to find the right program for me. When I visit there I want to know it is the right place for me."
