Maddox found a number of things to his liking.
"The players and the coaches had a sense of humor," Maddox said. "The people on campus were nice. I liked the team."
Maddox didn't feel comfortable comparing the schools he has visited.
"I'll have to weigh the pro's and con's," Maddox said. "It was a good visit just like the other ones. It was better than average. It was good."
When asked what is next, Maddox said, "I visit West Virginia Dec. 10. I'm debating between Rutgers and Syracuse for my fifth visit."
The 6-foot-2 and 165-pound Maddox has led West Catholic to a 9-2 record and deep into the playoffs. Maddox has four interceptions and 26 receptions. He has five touchdowns.
Maddox is the No. 20 prospect in the state of Pennsylvania in the Rivals.com player rankings.
