Maddox has more schools on the radar

After putting up a good performance at the NIKE Camp a few weekends ago, Converse (Texas) Judson safety Dominick Maddox made a stop at the Greater Houston Football Coaches Association combine this past Saturday to show his stuff once again.
Maddox added an early scholarship offer from UTEP, but has added another from Illinois State recently. The 5-foot11, 194-pound continues to work hard this spring in the search for even more. Schools are taking notice.

"Missouri has come down since that camp, TCU came down after the camp, and then Illinois State came down to talk with my coach," Maddox said. "That's been about it so far. I'm waiting to see what happens."
Oklahoma State is one school that Maddox is hoping an offer comes from, but says he hasn't spoken with them recently. He's also debating exactly when he wants to make a final decision.
"I kind of want to make it early and not be worried about it during the summer or during the season," Maddox said. "Then again, I might make a commitment when it's time to sign."
Showing off his ability in one-on-one drills at the NIKE Camp, Maddox feels confident he could play more than just safety in college.
"That's where most people are looking at me – safety," Maddox said. "But, I feel like I could go out and play a little bit of cornerback as well."
