Madden picks UGA

One trip was all offensive lineman Sam Madden needed. The massive Barnegat (N.J.) product committed to the Georgia Bulldogs during a visit to the Athens campus.
"Everything is awesome," said the 6-foot-7, 328-pound Madden. "The university, facilities, the staff and everything else is great."

Madden had been committed to Wisconsin since June but Gary Anderson decided to leave Madison to take the Oregon State head coach position and the Badgers hired former Pittsburgh head coach and former Wisconsin offensive coordinator Paul Chryst. Madden ended his commitment to Wisconsin just last week and decided to quickly pull the trigger for the Dawgs.
"Literally everything impressed me," he said. "The weather, the place, the atmosphere, I really liked all of it."
The Georgia coaching staff quickly made a strong impression on Madden and made him feel very comfortable.
"I'm close with all the coaches," Madden said. "I spent a lot of time with all of them this weekend and I can't wait to get to work with them."
Barnegat went 8-3 last season, losing in the first round of the playoffs.
