MacLean receives positive feedback from U-M

Grand Blanc (Mich.) junior linebacker Luke MacLean has attended several college games this fall. On Saturday he was in Ann Arbor to see the Wolverines host Nebraska, and spent time talking with their coaching staff.
"I got to go into the Champions Center and talk with Coach [Greg] Mattison, Coach [Mark] Smith and Coach [Fred] Jackson," MacLean said. "Coach Jackson has been my recruiting coach since I was younger and we had a really good talk. He said they really want me to come play for them."

The 6-3, 233-pound MacLean has already picked up an offer from Buffalo. He has had talks with several more schools, including Michigan, about where things stand with an offer.
"I've got to get my junior film together, and once I get that I will send that in and see what that does," MacLean said.
MacLean attended Michigan's opening game of the season as well, and commented on the progression he has seen between the two games.
"I think overall their team this year has matured," MacLean said. "Their defense is really coming into their own, then Denard [Robinson] has been sitting in the pocket and throwing a little more. Yesterday the defense was phenomenal against a really good run team."
MacLean has also attended several games at Michigan State this fall, and has received strong feedback from their coaching staff.
"I feel like Michigan State is really close to offering," MacLean said. "About three weeks ago Coach [Mark] Dantonio came into our school and talked with my head coach. The last time I visited was for the Wisconsin game and I didn't get to see him after the game just because of how late the game got over with, but he said he wants to sit down and have a meeting with me about playing for them."
Other teams showing strong interest in MacLean as the fall has progressed include Georgia Tech, Florida State, Oregon, Boston College, Wisconsin and Nebraska.
