MacLain is solid with TN

Fayetteville (N.C.) Jack Britt 2011 tight end Eric MacLain has been committed to Tennessee since April. The 6-foot-5, 267-pounder wasn't completely shocked by the move from Lane Kiffin and gave his take on his status now.
"As of right now I'm committed," he said. "I'm just waiting to talk to Coach Dooley to see if he wants me. Everything my father is saying is that if he is anything like his father then great things will happen at Tennessee.

"I haven't talked to him yet, but I plan to go up there for the Kentucky basketball game on February 27th to meet with him and find out more."
MacLain is clearly sticking by the Volunteers and gave his take on what he likes about Tennessee still.
"I just like the proximity to home," he said. "I lived there for nine years and most of my family lives there. It just is the feel of Rocky Top on Saturdays. The tradition of the football team."
MacLain wasn't totally shocked by the shakeup with Lane Kiffin.
"It's actually kind of a funny story," he said. "My buddy and I were watching TV and I asked him do you think Kiffin would leave Tennessee. Literally, within a minute it flashes up on screen that he was leaving. I understand that, college football is a business."
Still, plenty of other schools are taking an interest in MacLain.
"I have offers from Clemson, Duke, North Carolina and NC State," he said. "Virginia Tech, Florida, LSU, Oklahoma and Alabama have shown interest as well. Basically they said if I do decide to decommit I will have an offer from them."
