Mack Frost makes his pick

The Maryland Terrapins are currently in the Rivals.com Top 10 in recruiting and their latest commitment should push them even higher.
"Mack committed to Maryland late last night," said Columbia (S.C.) Spring Valley head coach Jimmy Noonan of defensive end Mack Frost. "He took his official visit to South Carolina this past weekend and coach Holtz came in yesterday to make his last pitch, but Mack felt that Maryland was closest to winning a national title of all the schools he looked at and felt very comfortable."

Frost chose Maryland over offers from South Carolina, Auburn, Florida, Virginia and NC State.
"He felt it was time to decide, even though he had other visits scheduled," said coach Noonan. "He wanted to take a look at South Carolina and give the local school a chance, but Maryland has been his favorite for awhile now."
Frost will be a defensive end in Maryland's 3-4 scheme.
"He came back from the holidays at 260 pounds and will probably top out around 275 or so," said Noonan. "He'll be a great fit for them."
