Macaluso looks for third title

Three-star linebacker Nick Macaluso out of Middletown South, N.J. hasn't been heard from in over a month. Rivals caught up with the 6-foot-3, 225-pounder as he is preparing for the state championship game against Shabazz in two weeks.
"They're No. 2 and bring a lot of speed, but if we bring a physical game I think we'll be fine," he said. "This game means a lot to us as it means I get to go out my senior year 36-0 which includes three perfect seasons and three championships. It's just been awesome to be part of this program."

For the year, Macaluso has recorded 90 tackles, two interceptions and five sacks.
On the recruiting front, the No. 38 inside linebacker in the country has three official visits scheduled.
"I moved my official with Duke to January 13th," he said. "I've also scheduled visits to Rutgers on December 16th and Stanford on January 20th. I like Duke and Stanford because both of them are academically in a league of their own. Meanwhile, Rutgers is a state school and I've taken notice that they have turned it around this year and will possibly be going to a bowl game. That's definitely something I want to look at since they're a program on the rise."
Macaluso has also mentioned he plans to potentially take an official to Northwestern on January 6th. Kansas and Princeton are vying for his final trip.
