Mabin attends fourth junior day
Macedonia (Ohio) Nordonia junior Jordan Mabin perhaps gets most of his publicity for his work on offense. But Mabin is also a very good cornerback prospect. In fact he was at Pitt over the weekend and says the Panthers like him on either side of the ball.
"I went to Pitt's junior day (Saturday)," Mabin said. "They offered me. They said I could play running back or cornerback.

"A lot of schools say cornerback. Whatever position gets me on the field the quickest is fine with me."
The 5-foot-11 and 185-pound Mabin rushed for over 1000 yards his freshman year, 1800 plus his sophomore year, and another 1495 during his junior season. Mabin also intercepted two passes this past season.
Mabin has been to several junior days.
"Pitt was real nice," he said. "I talked to coach Wannstedt one-on-one in his office. He offered me.
"I've also been to junior days at Michigan and Notre Dame. And I went to one at Ohio State too."
Mabin also has an offer on the table from Indiana, and mentions an interest in Northwestern and Iowa.
When asked who his favorite is, Mabin said, "I don't know. But my top three would be Ohio State, Pitt, and Notre Dame."
A decision on his college is not close at hand.
"I think I want to go through the recruiting process a little," Mabin said. "I'll probably wait through the summer and maybe decide before the football season starts."
