MA lineman hoping for first offer

Marshfield, Mass. offensive/defensive lineman Austin Giles is hoping his first offer comes soon. The younger brother of Notre Dame offensive center Zach Giles might be following a different path.
"I don't know if I'd commit right away if they offered, but Boston College is at the top," said the 6-foot-3, 270-pounder. "They've always been one of my favorite schools and I like the coaches. My coach is a BC guy as well and my family likes BC."

However, that doesn't mean that The Irish are out with Giles.
"Notre Dame is a great school and another of my top choices," he said. "Penn State, Michigan and Syracuse are also way up there. I'm getting hand-written mail from all of them except Michigan and PSU, but hopefully that will come soon."
Giles, who was named Player of the Year in his area as a junior after recording 64 tackles and seven sacks on defense, wants a strong academic school.
"Education is No. 1 for me," he said. "I want to be successful after college. I'm also looking for a good atmosphere and a good football program."
Giles isn't sure where he'll camp this summer, but he's camped at BC, Penn State and Notre Dame in the past. He will attend the May 15 NIKE Camp in State College, Pa. and will also be at the May 5 Elite College Prospect combine in New Jersey.
"Hopefully I can show what I can do there," he said. "I know a lot of coaches will be there."
