MA linebacker has two leaders

North Attleboro, Mass. linebacker Anthony Sherman is beginning to pick up interest from schools all over the country. Who is the 6-foot-0, 225-pounder getting mail from and does he have any favorites?
"He's getting mail from Illinois, Connecticut, New Hampshire, Colorado, Syracuse and Boston College mostly," North Attleboro head coach Kurt Kummer said. "I think he really likes New Hampshire and Connecticut at the moment. Connecticut got Robert Vaughn out of here last year and they have been showing a lot of early interest.

"New Hampshire may be a I-AA school, but I think they appeal to him because they are going to win and are a championship team. I think either way he just wants a chance to play at the next level."
Sherman has a lot to over a future team.
"He has been the best player in our league and one of the best in Massachusetts the last two years and as a senior I'm very excited to see what he'll do," he said. "He has great instincts and sheds blocks really well. Anthony is also a very athletic kid, but moreover he is a great football player that is physical, strong, fast and makes plays.
"He is the type of kid that is in on every play. In our game against Mansfield last year for the title he ran for a touchdown, threw for a touchdown and caught one. He also had over 10 tackles in the game."
This spring the linebacker prospect is looking to attend the Elite College Combine in May. Sherman is planning to take in summer camps at Connecticut and Boston College too.
