Lynn keeps a Sooner streak alive

SAN ANTONIO - On December 18th, Gabe Lynn became the first Rivals100 cornerback to commit to Oklahoma since Reggie Smith signed with the Sooners in 2005.
He also extended the Sooners' streak of landing the top in-state recruit to six years.

"I had a final three of OU, Oklahoma State and North Carolina," explained the 6-foot-0, 185-pounder from Jenks (Okla.) High. "I just felt like OU was the best fit for me, and so did my family, so I just went with it. I knew I was going to choose OU for about a week before I came out and announced it."
Did Lynn feel pressure to stay in-state?
"There was some pressure, but it wasn't because of that pressure that I chose [the Sooners]," he said. "Like I said, it was just the best fit for me."
Lynn is currently in San Antonio preparing for the U.S. Army All-American Bowl.
"My roommate here is [Oklahoma State commit] Brandon Webb, so we are having some fun talking a little trash to each other," Lynn said with a laugh.
