"I talked to the Wisconsin coaches back on Monday (September 1st) and a few days later I received the scholarship offer in the mail."
Lyles, who saw his first action on the field Friday night in the Greyhounds 32-7 win over Pekin, talked about his offer from the Badgers.
"I'm pretty good friend with Reggie Cribbs who at Wisconsin now and who I played with at Hubbard, and I know that Reggie loves it at Wisconsin," he said. "I'm definitely going to do some research and I'm going to check them out very soon. Other than that I don't know alot about the football program or the school for now."
Lyles has also been getting plenty of calls so far in September.
"The phone has been pretty busy," he said. "I've had calls fron Virginia, Stanford, Nebraska, Northwestern, Notre Dame and Wisconsin, and I know that I've missed a ton of calls and those schools said that said that they would call back."
Despite the increased amount of interest from schools, Lyles is still taking his time and is in no rush to make a decision.
"I'm still going to keep researching the schools, and I haven't set any official visits for now. I'll hopefully be able to set some visits soon, but with the season going on and school I just need to take some time and figure this all out."
Lyles has scholarship offers from Northwestern, Notre Dame, Illinois, Eastern Michigan, Cincinatti, Virginia, Iowa and Wisconsin.
