Lutman off to hot start

Peculiar (Mo.) Ramore-Peculiar two-star receiver Gavin Lutman has gotten off to an amazing start as a senior, including a huge performance two weeks ago against Liberty.
Now the 6-foot-4, 208-pound hopes to garner more recruiting attention based off his hot start.

"I have been talking to a couple of schools on e-mail," Lutman said. "I've talked to Northwestern, Air Force and Southern Illinois. I don't have any plans right now to set up visits with any schools. I'm going to just wait a little bit so if I do take any visits it will be later in the year."
"I'll probably go to some Missouri games, Kansas, and I might try to make it up to Southern Illinois and other games around the Big 12."
Against Liberty, Lutman had three TD catches and 241 receiving yards. His coach, Tom Kruse, believes he's got what it takes to be a Division I prospect.
He's a good enough athlete that some schools are talking to him about being a punter for them," Kruse said. "I have no doubts he's a Division I prospect."
Lutman said he doesn't want to be picky on a school. He just wants an opportunity.
"Really it doesn't matter, just someone that will take a chance on me," he said. "Obviously, everyone would like to stay close to home and it would be nice but when it comes down to it, it doesn't really matter."
