Lumpkin back from UNC, Virginia

Jersey City (N.J.) St. Peter's Prep offensive tackle Keith Lumpkin is returning home after visiting North Carolina and Virginia over the weekend and he spoke out about both trips on Sunday.
The trip to North Carolina at the beginning of the weekend was exciting, not just because he enjoyed the school but because the Tar Heels became the latest school to put an offer on the table.

"UNC offered me when I went down there on Friday," Lumpkin recalled.
"It was just an unofficial so I could visit the school. I liked it. It was really nice. Everything they have to offer is good. The coach that's been recruiting me wasn't there but I talked to coach Pittman and the athletic director. I talked to (head coach) Butch Davis for a little while.
"I just took a tour with them and saw everything. That was really it. Coach Davis gave me the offer and was just talking about the direction of their program."
Kansas, Pitt, Rutgers, South Carolina, Syracuse and West Virginia have also offered Lumpkin, so he has no shortage of options.
How did his trip to UVa go?
"I thought it was good," he said, basically echoing his thoughts on North Carolina. "I liked the campus and everything. I didn't like one more than the other. I was just taking everything in with an open mind."
Lumpkin said he hopes to visit Florida and Georgia over the summer.
