Lucier-South lands USC offer

MORE: Smith thinking about official visits
Keisean Lucier-South is one of the top prospects in California's 2015 class and he's already received many offers. But when summoned to talk with USC assistant coach Ed Orgeron, it was still a big deal.

The Orange (Calif.) Lutheran defensive end/outside linebacker said he talked with Orgeron and was offered by the Trojans. The offer is a big one for Lucier-South because he grew up watching the USC football team on Saturdays.
"I was in class and my coach brought me out of class and I talked to Coach Orgeron," Lucier-South said. "He just talked to me and said they wanted to offer me a scholarship. That was really it.
"That's pretty huge for me. I always watched SC when I was little, so I always imagined getting offered by SC. … I imagined myself going there. That's a huge offer."
So far, Lucier-South has Arizona, Boise State, Cal, Colorado, Miami, Oregon, Oregon State, TCU, Tennessee, Texas, UCLA, USC and Washington on his list.
Because things are happening so fast, Lucier-South doesn't plan to trim his list or make any decisions soon.
"I haven't done anything with recruiting," Lucier-South said. "I've just been focusing on my season right now. Probably like at the end of basketball season I'll narrow it down at that time. I'm not really worried about anything with recruiting right now like narrowing down my list."
Michigan might be close to offering as well. The Wolverines have been reaching out and a coach could be coming soon to see Orange Lutheran play.
"They said they're going to come down for one of my games in the next couple weeks and they're going to watch me play," Lucier-South said.
