Lucas thinking about official visits

With three scholarship offers in hand and interest from several other schools rising, Medford (N.J.) Shawnee linebacker Dillon Lucas is starting to think about official visits.
Lucas hasn't set up any trips yet but he wants to get out and check some of them out before he makes his decision.

The 6-foot-2, 204-pound linebacker has had offers from Duke, Buffalo and Villanova for a good while now, and while he likes what each of those schools has to offer he's intent on keeping his options open until he knows what all of those options will be.
"The main schools I've been talking to hasn't changed too much," Lucas said. "It's Pitt, NC State and Villanova, mostly.
"I've recently talked to Nebraska. I talked to them at the beginning of this week. They seemed pretty interested. I've still got the offers from Duke, Villanova and Buffalo."
Lucas said he knows he will be taking some official visits but he isn't sure where he wants to take all of those trips to yet.
"I'm definitely taking one to the University of Pittsburgh. I'm not exactly sure of which dates. I've got a few schools in mind that I'd like to see, like Penn State, Villanova, and maybe Cincinnati and West Virginia. They've all shown a lot of interest."
Lucas isn't sure how many tackles or sacks he has to his credit this year but he has picked off two passes, forced two fumbles and recovered one. He hurt his shoulder lately and hasn't been playing too much on defense yet.
On the season Shawnee is 5-4. They lost in the first round of the playoffs, but are still hoping to close the season with a win in their Thanksgiving Day game on Thursday.
