Lucas clarifies his status
Miami (Fla.) Miami Central offensive guard Marquis Lucas has been the center of numerous rumors in recent days. The long-time Rutgers commitment has been rumored to be flipping to West Virginia. By text on Monday evening, Lucas provided some clarity with regards to his recruitment.
"I'm not committed," Lucas said.

The 6-foot-4, 310-pound offensive lineman then clarified that he is not committed anywhere, not even Rutgers where he pledged to back in July.
He said that a final decision will come on Wednesday, when he announces and signs at Miami Central. He is choosing between three Big East schools.
"I will decide between West Virginia, Cincinnati, and USF," Lucas said.
When asked if Rutgers was eliminated, the three-star prospect said that they had been.
