LSU, West Virginia among those still pursuing Auburn commit

The Latest: Class-of-2018 running back Shaun Shivers remains committed to Auburn. There’s no reason to think the Florida-based four-star is wavering on that commitment. Still, the next year will include a look around. Shivers will be part of a summer bus trip that is set to include stops at Auburn, Alabama, West Virginia and a few other campuses that have not yet been determined. Shivers says it seems likely that he will visit other schools as well.

Other schools continue to recruit Shivers despite his commitment status, and the speedy back is hoping to run track at Auburn (or wherever he eventually lands).

IN HIS WORDS: “LSU, Virginia Tech and West Virginia are the main ones still on me. They all tell me they still want me to come up and visit. They are still recruiting me hard. They just want me there during the summer. I’m gonna visit some places this summer.”

RIVALS REACTION: Shivers’ commitment to Auburn is as solid as an early pledge can be. There’s no indication that he’s serious about any other school, but that could change as he takes visits and hauls in new offers. For now, the Tigers should feel comfortable with where Shivers’ recruitment stands.
