LSU visit impresses 2015 standout

Tristen Hoge had an excellent time at LSU this week and landed another offer but the 2015 offensive lineman from Pocatello (Idaho) Highland still has another squad on top.
"It went great," Hoge said of LSU. "They have a great coaching staff down there, they really showed me everything around campus and I met a few of the players. It was a great experience for me.

"It is high on my list right now. I was planning to go back for a game if my schedule would permit so we're trying to work that out from here."
LSU was definitely a nice experience and the 2015 standout wants to return to Baton Rouge for a game this season but Notre Dame, which recently offered as well, is still the team to beat.
"They're still on top," Hoge said.
The 6-foot-5, 275-pound prospect who looked good at the Rivals250 Underclassmen Challenge in DeSoto, Texas, last weekend will visit Stanford on July 26-27 and that will be his last unofficial visit this summer.
It's been a productive few months for Hoge, who now has offers from Boise State, BYU, LSU, Notre Dame, Penn State, Utah and Washington State.
Hoge is planning a trip back to Notre Dame sometime this season and he said it will probably be over his Thanksgiving break, which means the 2015 recruit should see the Irish host BYU. Other trips are being worked on as well but his schedule is also busy.
Since his strong performance at the Underclassmen Challenge, Hoge said Arkansas and Vanderbilt have reached out and those SEC schools are now involved.
"They've been sending me a lot of literature in the mail," Hoge said.
