Ryan Watson plans to let his college decision be known Tuesday afternoon.
"I
think tomorrow will be the big day. I'm going to let coach (J.T.) Curtis know, and he's
going to call all the newspapers and everybody," he said. "I don't know who it's
going to be right now, but I'm down to LSU and USC.
"The big question in my head tonight is where would be
the best place for me as a full person. I know I can be part of a great football
program no matter who I pick. Both of them have nice coaches and players. But
I'm thinking of down the road, who's going to have me best prepared for the rest
of my life?"
Watson (6-4, 283, 4.7) is ranked the No. 26 defensive
tackle in this class. He had also been considering offers from Miami, Colorado and Oklahoma. His teammate and fellow defensive tackle, Carnell Stewart, has the Tigers and Trojans in his top three.
Recent signs point to LSU has holding a slight lead for
the Patriots' dynamic duo.
