LSU offers pair of Tennessee prospects

LSU has worked hard in the state of Tennessee in recent years and while they haven't landed many prospects from the Volunteer State, it doesn't mean they are slowing their efforts. The Tigers offered a pair of underclassmen on Tuesday, here's the rundown on each of them.

WR Princeton Fant LaVergne, Tenn. (2017)

The skinny: Fant was well on his way to becoming one of the top wide receivers in the country before suffering an injury during spring football back in May. He is now back at 100 percent and spent the weekend turning heads at the Tennessee Select 7-on-7 tryouts. The Tigers join schools like Tennessee, Ole Miss, Mississippi State and others on the 6-foot-2, 190-pound prospect's list.

D'Andre Litaker

DT D'Andre Litaker Murfreesboro (Tenn.) Oakland (2018)

The skinny: LSU is the first offer for the 6-foot-3, 285-pound rising junior. Litaker spent his sophomore season terrorizing opposing offensive lines and it's not surprising the Tigers jumped on him after watching his film. The offer from the Tigers is likely the first of many, but for his first offer to be from a school known for producing defensive line talent is quite the compliment for the young up and comer.
