LSU has 4-star WR's attention

SUMRALL, MISS.Dannis Jackson is a top 10 prospect in the state of Mississippi for the class of 2019. The 6-foot-1, 160 pound wide receiver out of Sumrall has double-digit offers, including ones from in-state schools, Ole Miss and Mississippi State.

Jackson likes to keep his recruitment to himself for the most part and he is not all about the attention, so he has quietly taken visits this fall and started to go through the recruiting process.

One school he is taking a look at is LSU. He first visited Baton Rouge during the 2016 season for the Florida game. He returned for the Arkansas game this season and he really likes what he sees.

"When I am LSU, it is amazing," said Jackson. "The fans are great no matter what the time of the game is and I just see the passion there. When I have been in the locker room, I felt like I was part of the team and the coaches are really cool with me.

"You hear a lot about the atmosphere there and people talk about it on TV, and I can say it is as good or better than what you hear. I have had a great time each time I have visited."

The four star has been in contact with numerous coaches on the Tiger staff and they continue to show him a lot of attention. He talked about the atmosphere there on game-day, and how that has impressed him, but the players that LSU has coached up have too.

"LSU puts a lot of guys in the NFL and that really stands out to me. They are always great on defense, so they put a lot of guys on that side of the ball into the NFL, but they put wide receivers in there too.

"That is something that has really caught my attention."

When Jackson hits the road to check out LSU and other schools, he is searching for that home-feeling. He just wants to fit in on all levels.

That feeling at LSU he's had has put the Tigers in the race early on.

"I am definitely interested in LSU," said Jackson. "I am still only a junior, so I am going to look into them and a lot of other schools right now.

"When I get to the point where I get a little more serious about favorites and all that, I will be a school I look at. They have my attention."

Jackson is nowhere near a decision midway through his junior year. He does not see himself making a decision until his senior year at this time.
