2019 LSU offensive line commit, Kenyon Green committed to his first offer from LSU in December, but other programs are just getting started with him.

Green was at Texas junior day at the end of February and at the Rivals Three Stripe Camp presented by Adidas last Sunday in New Orleans, he said that he plans on making his next visit to Texas A&M.

When it comes to the efforts of the Longhorns, Aggies, or even a team like UCLA, who just offered him this week, he said that the key to pulling him off of that LSU commitment comes down to one major factor.

“Other teams just have to make me feel like I’m at home,” he said. “I want to be able to feel like after I am done with school that I can always come back to that city. That’s the way I want to feel at home.”

As for A&M, Green has only been on campus for an academic tour. During his tentative visit, he’s looking to build up his relationship with the coaching staff, as he said his communication with them thus far hasn’t gone much further beyond just some basic early discussions.

“I haven’t been down there that much, so I’m just looking to see what’s really going on out there,” he said. “I’m just trying to make more contact with the coaches and see where things go.”

Otherwise, Green was able to make a stop by LSU’s campus while en route to last Sunday’s event.

IN HIS WORDS

On LSU’s recruiting approach as more schools offer Green

“They just act the same towards me,” he said. “Because nothing’s different. They aren’t going to change their ways just to get a player to come there; they’re going to be real with you.”

On watching LSU’s first spring practice

“It was intense, it was very exciting,” he said. “They weren’t in pads, but they were acting like they were in pads. I talked to one of the players from there that’s going to the draft and he just said that he wanted me to stay with LSU because he thinks I can do big things there.”

RIVALS REACTION

Green has been very up-front about his intentions to explore his opportunities with the other programs that have jumped into his recruitment. Making that early commitment to the Tigers should speak to his feelings towards LSU, but the work on him is far from finished. With a long way to go, Green seems to enjoy having a look at others with the security of having already made his commitment.
