LSU, AM monitors La Marque QB

La Marque, Texas, quarterback L.J. Castile still is sitting with one scholarship offer on the table, but with the interest that he's getting from two major national powers it would not be a surprised to see that number change here before the spring evaluation period ends.
Castile, a 6-foot-3, 210-pound dual-threat quarterback, has one offer on the table from Colorado State. He said he is really excited about the offer from the Rams, but also pointed out that he's excited about the other teams that are calling him.

"I've talked to Colorado State, UofH, LSU and Texas A&M," Castile, who is also getting some looks in basketball, said. "LSU was at the school on Monday, and I was excited to see them out there. I wish I could have gone up and talked to them. I also just talked to coach Pope from A&M."
Did the topic of an offer come up with the Aggies?
"Not yet," Castile said. "He said they were just calling to tell me that they're really excited about me and that they're going to keep a close eye on me."
Castile said he's not sure what to think about the recruiting process now, especially since he's in the middle of spring drills. He's working hard to become a more complete quarterback.
"I've learned a lot this spring," he said. "I've always been able to scramble around and make plays that way, but I've been working hard on learning when to throw it instead of running it. I can now come out of the pocket better and throw on the run. We're all working hard toward our No. 1 goal, and that's a state championship."
