Lowery breaking things down

MIAMI - One of the top linebackers in South Florida is Miami (Fla.) Columbus Antonio Lowery, who has picked up an impressive list of offers. It appears as though his list of favorites is shortening significantly.
"The process is going real well for me right now," Lowery said. "I really like all the schools that are recruiting me. I like Tennessee, it is a good football town. I watched the Georgia-South Carolina game on TV and they are both great football towns. Those three are definitely going to get official visits."

Lowery had a good showing at the Miami NIKE camp where he ran an electronic 40-yard dash in 4.86 seconds, ran a 4.31 shuttle, posted a 29-inch vertical jump and did 11 reps on the bench press.
"I was talking with a friend the other day who watched my film on Rivals and he told me that he likes how I play," Lowery said. "I'm not necessarily the biggest guy or the fastest guy, but I get to the ball so quick and I read stuff really well. I think that accurately describes my play on the field."
As a junior he collected 52 tackles, five tackles for loss, two interceptions and recovered one fumble.
"When Steve Spurrier called me he was saying how all of his linebackers are leaving in the next year or two," Lowery said. "He said he thought I could play as a true freshman or red-shirt freshman and that I would get the chance to play on television a lot if I went there.
Trooper Taylor from Tennessee calls me and tells me how great the environment is and how much I would enjoy it. Georgia is telling me a lot of the same things that Tennessee is. They tell me how they could use me and all. Coach Keith Willis from Boston College talks to me a lot about religion and how he told me that I was a good kid and would fit in up there."
