Lovell bumps official back

Three-star offensive tackle Josh Lovell was scheduled to take an official visit to Marshall over the weekend, but he ended up bumping that visit back a week.
The 6-foot-6, 266-pound prospect from Christchurch, Virginia has the Thundering Herd at the top of his list, in spite of the fact that he holds offers from Maryland, South Carolina and West Virginia, so this visit to Marshall will prove to be very important.

"I'll be going to Marshall next weekend," Lovell said. "Doc Holliday wasn't going to be there and he wanted to make sure that he was able to see me. He's going to be there the next couple of weekends, so I'll be able to meet with him."
Lovell does not have any other officials set up yet, but there are at least two others that he would like to fit in before National Signing Day.
"The main two I want to take are South Carolina and (Virginia) Tech. The other two I'm not sure about yet.
"Virginia Tech has not offered yet. They're waiting on an academic situation I'm in. The NCAA has some kind of rule I've got to meet. I have to find a credit that I took in eighth grade -- middle school -- because of the credit system. Once that's settled then (Virginia Tech) will start talking to me about offering again.
"But as of right now I don't have any other visits scheduled. Marshall is still my favorite."
Lovell is ranked the No. 21 prospect overall in Virginia by Rivals.com.
