Louisville the latest to offer four-star WR

There are numerous highly-touted and highly recruited prospects at Hattiesburg (Miss.) Oak Grove this season but arguably the prospect that has been receiving the most attention is four-star wide receiver Robert Johnson. Johnson has been a star performer throughout the spring and his offer list is growing extensively.
Due to Johnson's exploits on the football field as well as those of his teammates, the spring was a busy time at Oak Grove High School.

"Oh my goodness, we had a couple calls out of class and then sometimes we had three coaches there at the same time," Johnson said. "It was pretty good. It makes sure you're on your Ps and Qs while you're out there practicing. You don't want to look like you don't know how to practice. It also gives the opportunity for some other guys to get looked at."
Johnson was happy with his spring performance and was able to touch up a few of the smaller parts of his game that he wanted to focus on.
"I really played good," he said. "I've been trying to work on getting off the line. That's one of my weaknesses and I've been trying to work on that."
With Johnson, gaining attention hasn't been an issue. He already has numerous offers and recently he has picked up a few more. One that has caught his eye was his most recent offer from Louisville.
"Me and Coach (Jay) Johnson, we got a good connections," he said. "Sometimes we talk back and forth on email too. We've got a connection. He talks to my mom too. I'm planning on taking a visit [to Louisville] in July."
Among his other offers, Johnson is most interested in Tulsa, Ole Miss, Mississippi State, Southern Miss and Florida State, though the Seminoles have yet to offer.
"Florida State, I'm trying to get them in the mix too," he said. "They were saying that they were in the process of offering and they were saying I just needed to come down and meet the coach."
If Johnson is able to make it down to Tallahassee it would be part of an already very busy summer.
"I'm going to start off going to Southern Miss on Sunday May 31 for their senior camp and then I know for sure I'm going to LSU July 19 through the 21st and of course I'm going to visit the in-state schools."
Johnson is in no rush to make his decision either. With as many options as he has in front of him. He will take plenty of time.
"I'm probably trying to wait until February," he said. "Maybe even after February, who knows."
