Class of 2016 Pembroke Pines (Fla.) Flanagan linebacker Devin Bush has seen his offer list quickly grow to five, but that hasn't stopped the rising junior from wanting more. In fact, he's planning a busy spring and summer visit schedule in an effort to impress.
"I have a lot of peers who have gone to camps and get offered on the spot so that's what I want to do," Bush said. "I think it's something I really need to do. I want to visit Alabama, I want to see Florida, I want to see Clemson and I want to see Ohio State and I've already been to Miami so those are probably the top schools I want to check out."
Bush recently collected offers from the new coaching staff at Louisville as well as from Cincinnati and a few other schools.
"It was the new coaches at Louisville who told me I had the offer," he said. "I've been talking to them a little bit but not that much. I still want to get to know them more."
The Bearcats coaches let Bush know that they think he can be an impact player.
"They said they really like my film and my ability to make plays," he said. "They think I'm a good player and think I can be a really good fit."
With several of his early offers from teams outside of the Southeast, Bush said he's open to the possibility of traveling far from home to play at the next level.
"I think mostly it's about where I feel more comfortable," he said. "I want to get a feel for how players and coaches are and how my relationship with them might be. That will be more important than distance for me."
As far as early favorites, Bush said he hasn't done enough due diligence to reach that part of the process yet.
"Not as much but I'm going to take a look and see once I visit," he said. "I need to get a better look at schools because I haven't taken many visits."
