Louisiana WR visits Hoosiers

It’s clear that Indiana coach Gerry DiNardo is keeping strong ties to his old stomping grounds when it comes to recruiting.
A big weekend for official visits included numerous players from the state of Louisiana, where DiNardo once coached at LSU. One of those prospects was Reserve East St. John wide receiver Reggie Joseph, who said it almost felt like home in Bloomington.

“Darius Reynaud from Hahnville and Chris Brown from Jesuit and the big man (Cleveland Powell) from O.P. Walker was up there with one of his teammates. I forgot his name,” Joseph said. “There were a bunch of us guys from Louisiana.
“I had a good time. I really liked the school itself and the campus. The people were real nice. Jarvis Green was my host. I liked hanging out with him and the other guys.
“I also got to spend some time sitting down and talking with coach DiNardo. He just verified to me what the other coaches had been telling me all along – if I go there, I have chance to play right away. He just put the offer on the table and said think about it.”
Joseph (6-1, 185, 4.45) said he also plans to visit Colorado in early January before making his final decision. “Maybe a couple of others, but Im not sure,” he added.
The visit with the Buffaloes was originally scheduled for Dec. 19, but Joseph said the family decided to change the date.
He also has offers from Tulane, Louisiana Tech and Southern Miss.
As a senior, Joseph caught approximately 35 passes for 900 yards and 12 touchdowns.
