Louisiana WR headed west
New Orleans (La.) O.P. Walker wide receiver Burnell Wallace is headed west for his college career.
“I'm going to Oregon State,” he said. “I love the opportunity to play in the Pac-10. Oregon State is a fun place but a nice, quiet town. I really felt like I fit in well with the team and coaches.”

Wallace picked the Beavers over Auburn, Indiana, San Diego State and Louisiana Tech. He made official visits to all five schools.
As a senior, Wallace was named all-state after he caught 49 passes for 989 yards and 15 touchdowns. He also returned six punts and four kickoffs for a touchdown.
