Louisiana safety a new name to watch
Lafayette (La.) Carencro safety Stephen Barrett isn't a household name, but he might become one.
"LSU is still waiting on my ACT score to come back before it offers, but they want me to come on a visit this weekend," Barrett, who is 6-foot and 185 pounds, said.

"It might have to be an unofficial visit if my score doesn't come back in time."
After that Barrett is also set to visit McNeesse on Jan. 25 and Nichols State on Jan. 18.
Barrett might not have a ton of top programs chasing him, but he's a solid prospect that recorded eight interceptions this season and 117 tackles.
Barrett is a player that if he qualifies could be the steal in the state of Louisiana.
