Louisiana QB shines at NIKE

Destrehan (La.) quarterback prospect Jordan Jefferson had a solid showing last Friday at the Columbia NIKE Camp on the campus of the University of Missouri. The 6-foot-4, 200-pounder currently holds one scholarship offer from a Southeastern Conference program and is looking for more.
"I have an offer from Ole Miss," Jefferson said. "Florida, Alabama and Ole Miss are recruiting me the hardest."

Jefferson has a busy summer ahead of him in terms of attending prospect camps at colleges and elsewhere.
"I am going to the Elite 11 regional workout in Las Vegas," Jefferson said. "I am also going to camp at Alabama, Auburn, Georgia Tech and Florida."
He talked about what he will be looking for in a college.
"The academics are very important to me," he said. "I will also be looking at the offense that the school runs to see if I fit in."
Jefferson added that he felt he improved during the camp in Missouri.
"The camp went good," Jefferson said. "The coaches gave me a couple of pointers and helped me to improve my game."
Jefferson threw for 1,666 yards and 20 touchdowns during his junior year, despite missing six games because of a broken wrist.
