Tommy
Jones, a 6-foot-2, 280-pound guard from Lake Charles' Washington-Marion
High School, says he's heard from Auburn, LSU, Tulane, Louisiana Tech and
Oklahoma State. He's had longstanding interest from Colorado and Texas A&M as
well.
"Right now, Tulane is showing the most interest, but it's
starting to pick up with some of the others," he said. "I think I'll start to
see some offers when they get a chance to see me play a few more games.
Jones is one of the South's top-rated offensive guards.
He said his top six consists of Auburn, Colorado, Tennessee, Texas A&M, Tulane
and LSU.
"Auburn's probably my favorite," he said. "They've got a great program, produce
a lot of good linemen, and I like their computer programming (department). I'm
supposed to go to one of their home games this season."
