rising prospects in

Antron Dillon.
The 6-foot-5, 216-pound outside linebacker is off to
an impressive start as a senior, recording 45 tackles and 10 sacks through
the first five games of the season.
"I get to rush the quarterback a lot. That's my
specialty," said Dillon, who had 60 tackles and 15 sacks as a junior.
"There's nothing like getting a good hit on the quarterback. It's the
biggest rush."
Dillon hopes his performance on the field leads to a
rush of college interest. He's hearing regularly from Auburn, Ole Miss, LSU,
Baylor, Vanderbilt, Louisiana-Lafayette, Southeastern Louisiana, Grambling
State and Princeton.
"I have an offer from Southeastern Louisiana," he
said. "But I really believe if I keep playing the way I have so far, I'm
going to get a chance to play in the SEC. That's my dream.
"LSU has been my favorite team growing up. LaBrandon
Toefield went to school here, so I've been following his career down there.
They've got a great team right now, SEC champs and all. They have good
coaches."
He noted that Auburn has shown the most interest
among the SEC clubs.
"I like them a lot," Dillon said. "It's a great
program. They have a nice campus and really nice facilities. The weightroom
is unreal. Coach (Greg) Knox is recruiting me. He's a pretty cool guy.
Dillon said he hasn't lined up any visits yet, but
will try to make stops at all of the interested schools within a close drive
from his Independence home.
